Hello, my name is Gabija, and I’m turning 19 in June. Even though I am very young, I want to see more of the world and learn new things about other countries. That’s why I’m taking a gap year from my studies and looking to be a part of a family’s everyday life. I would also like to earn some extra money for school.
I am great with children aged five or six and older, as I have a playful personality and can easily engage with them. I can play with them, take them to fun or creative activities, or help them learn in general.
I come from a small family of three and was raised by my mother, so I understand firsthand the challenges that single parents may face. Because of this, I am especially empathetic and happy to offer reliable support to families who may need an extra helping hand.
I also have an older sister who is currently studying and working abroad. She introduced me to this platform after having a positive experience finding a family to work with here, which inspired me to apply as well.
I would describe myself as a very creative person. I graduated from film school and come from a family of artists, so creativity has always been a natural part of my life. I enjoy sharing this creative language with the children I care for by introducing them to storytelling, imaginative play, photography, and age-appropriate films. I believe creativity helps children express themselves and builds confidence while also making learning fun.
I also love music, and I enjoy singing and dancing, which helps create a joyful and engaging environment for children. At the same time, I believe it is important to provide structure and guidance. I am attentive to teaching important values such as kindness, respect, and responsibility.
I am very interested in human behavior, personal development, and the world around us. I enjoy reading and learning about topics that encourage critical thinking, and I aim to support children’s emotional, creative, and intellectual growth in a positive and supportive way.
